Volunteer Opportunities

Jump Start Gymnastics is seeking volunteers for an ongoing program for children with disabilities called Kids in Motion. Volunteers will be a teacher’s aid, either assigned to stay with one child or help guide a class. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in working with children of a variety of abilities and is an excellent learning experience. Volunteering with the Kids in Motion program does require physical activities. A volunteer will never be assigned to a class by themselves. They will be with a head instructor at all times, but may have to make quick decisions on their own when handling a child. A lesson plan will be discussed with the volunteers before the start of each class.

Hour available will vary depending on the number of classes and students enrolled. Classes are generally an hour long with fifteen minutes before and after for set up and clean up. If you have any questions, please contact Trudy Schaffner at 309-692-5867 or email her.
